Parivartini Ekadashi

Worshiping Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu on this Ekadashi brings wealth and happiness, and is said to help in the afterlife. The Ekadashi that happens in the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month is called Parivartini Ekadashi. Fasting on this day is believed to give the same benefits as performing the Ashwamedha Yagya. This Ekadashi is also known as Jayanti Ekadashi, Padma Ekadashi, and Vamana Ekadashi. On this day, people worship Vamana, who is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. On Ekadashi, Lord Shri Hari is worshiped properly. Those who fast and pray on Parivartini Ekadashi receive blessings from Lord Vishnu.

For Padma Ekadashi, it is said that donating items like an umbrella, shoes, rice, curd, a pot of water, and silver is very beneficial. If someone cannot fast on Padma Ekadashi, they should recite the stories of Lord Vishnu's various incarnations. Reading the Vishnu Sahasranama and the Ramayana is also considered very good on this day.
