In Hinduism, Pitru Paksha holds immense spiritual significance. It is the sacred 16-day lunar period dedicated to honoring and expressing gratitude to one’s ancestors. During this time, performing Shradh, Pind Daan, and Tarpan is considered highly auspicious, as it is believed to please the forefathers and bring their blessings.
In 2025, Pitru Paksha begins on 7th September and concludes on 21st September. Along with Shradh rituals, making certain donations during this period is said to help one get rid of Pitru Dosh, attract prosperity, and ensure peace in life.
