Papankusha Ekadashi

Papankusha Ekadashi 2024: Puja Rituals

  • Wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath before beginning the puja rituals.
  • Take a wooden plank or chowki and place an idol of Lord Vishnu, Lord Krishna, or Laddoo Gopal Ji, along with a Shree Yantra.
  • Offer a yellow marigold garland, flowers, Tulsi Patra, and sweets to Lord Vishnu.
  • Offering Tulsi Patra is essential on Ekadashi, as the fast is considered incomplete if devotees do not present basil leaves to Shri Hari Vishnu.
  • In the evening, perform the puja again by reciting the Ekadashi Katha and the Vishnu Sahasranama.
  • Conduct the aarti, after which you may eat kuttu poori and sabzi, sabudana khichdi, dairy products, and other sattvik foods recommended for the fast.
  •  The Ekadashi fast should be broken on Dwadashi Tithi during the parana time, following the puja to Lord Vishnu.
