Chaturmas 2024: Take special care of these 5 things in Chaturmas, there will be no hindrance in progress.

The term "Chaturmas," meaning "four months," refers to the period when Lord Vishnu is believed to be in a state of deep sleep according to the Hindu calendar. Starting from July 17, 2024, it's important to be aware of the dos and don'ts during this sacred time.

The Chaturmas period will span from July 17th to November 12th, 2024. During this time, it is advised to refrain from conducting any auspicious or auspicious activities such as marriage, engagement, housewarming, etc.

The months of Sawan, Bhadrapada, Ashwin, and Kartik fall within the Chaturmas period. During this time, it is advisable to avoid consuming spinach and leafy vegetables in Sawan, curd in Bhadrapada, milk in Ashwin, and garlic and onion in Kartik. Additionally, one should refrain from eating honey, radish, parwal, and brinjal during these months.

Due to Lord Vishnu entering Ksheer Sagar during Chaturmas, the responsibility of overseeing the universe shifts to Lord Shiva. In such circumstances, devotees who worship Lord Shiva during Sawan, Ganpati in Bhadrapada, Maa Durga during Ashwin, and Maa Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu during Kartik are spared from experiencing sorrow.

During Chaturmas, there are no auspicious activities, and it's advised not to sleep on the bed during this period. It's also important to practice celibacy. By doing so, the Gods and Goddesses may become displeased.

Good food should be consumed sparingly during these four months. Opt for fruits at night; this practice does not lead to health issues.

In these months, it's best to remain mostly silent and engage in penance, chanting, and other forms of penance. This practice is believed to enhance happiness, good fortune, and success.
